  1. Define project and prepare work breakdown structure.
  2. Determine relationships and precedence
  3. Draw network diagram of activities
  4. Assign time and/or cost estimates for each activity.
  5. Determine the Critical Path. (Longest path through network)
  6. Use network to plan, schedule, monitor and control.
